
The Kick-Off event of Wild About Wakulla Week is the Sopchoppy Worm Gruntin' Festival held along the picturesque downtown streets of Sopchoppy, FL on Saturday, April 13, 2013. Events begin at 9:00am and offer over 80 vendors along with a fascinating worm gruntin' demonstration. The day concludes with the Worm Grunter's Ball. The Wakulla Wildlife Festival winds down Wild About Wakulla Week on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Wakulla Springs State Park (Points A & B on the map). Activities takes place both within the historic Wakulla Springs Lodge and on the festival grounds (The Green) encompassing a large section of the picnic area of the park. Fine art, fine food and fine music highlight the day and evening activities. The festival accentuates the diverse, rare, and compelling beauty of Wakulla Springs State Park while exhibitors, entertainers, and living history demonstrators illuminate the outdoor activities, aesthetics and heritage of the region. Other venues during Wild about Wakulla Week will showcase the magnificent natural beauty and colorful heritage found throughout Wakulla County.
